We would like to thank Queensland Treasury, Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development, and Department of Housing and Public Works for honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through their NAIDOC Week gathering on Wednesday July 9th.

This event was attended by Bunin Director Alec Brown which featured a Welcome to Country and traditional dancing, a blessing, musical performances, and a capturing array of First Nations art, literature and food.

Marking the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week, this year’s theme ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy’ was beautifully highlighted throughout the event, reflecting on the enduring strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as we continue to honour and elevate their voices, culture and resilience.

At Bunin and Schiavello, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and we commit to listening, learning, and taking meaningful steps towards reconciliation.
